Halo Infinite Will Support Cross-Play and Cross-Progression
Microsoft has announced that Halo Infinite will support multiplayer cross-play and cross-progression across PC (on Microsoft Store and Steam), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Announced on Xbox Wire, the move is being pitched by Microsoft as a way of "building communities around games, not devices", and will see customisation and game progress follow you across all platforms, as well as let you play with anyone on any available platform.
