Monster Hunter Rise is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021 (
see it on Amazon). It's also getting a
demo so you can try it out yourself. The game will be available in three different editions and is up for preorder right now at a number of retailers. Read on for the details.
Monster Hunter Rise (Standard Edition)
The standard edition of Monster Hunter Rise comes with the game itself, along with the preorder bonus (see below).
Monster Hunter Rise Deluxe Edition
The deluxe edition of Monster Hunter Rise comes with the game itself, plus a "deluxe kit DLC pack" that contains the following in-game items:
- "Kamurai" Hunter layered armor set
- "Shuriken Collar" Palamute layered armor piece
- "Fish Collar" Palico layered armor piece
- Gestures (4 Jumps)
- Samurai pose set
- Kabuki face paint
- "Izuchi Tail" hairstyle
Monster Hunter Rise Collector's Edition
The collector's edition of Monster Hunter Rise comes with all the items in the deluxe edition, plus additional physical items:
- Megnamalo amiibo
- Kamura Mark enamel pin
- Sticker pack
- "Kamurai" Hunter layered armor set
- "Shuriken Collar" Palamute layered armor piece
- "Fish Collar" Palico layered armor piece
- Gestures (4 Jumps)

Preorder Bonus
Preorder Monster Hunter Rise, and you'll receive the following:
- Palamute Retriever Costume layered armor

Monster Hunter Rise Amiibo
[poilib element="commerceDeal" parameters="slug=monster-hunter-rise-amiibo"] Three Monster Hunter Rise amiibo will be released as well, and they're available to preorder exclusively from GameStop. Capcom says each amiibo will unlock a special layered armor.
What to Expect from Monster Hunter Rise
Monster Hunter Rise will feature seamless open-world environments, with areas featuring more verticality than in previous entries. To help you scale the new heights, your character will be equipped with a Wirebug that functions like a grappling hook to fling you around. You're accompanied on your hunts by an adorable dog-like character called a Palamute. This furry friend helps you in combat and lets you hop on its back to ride quickly through the game world. In terms of the monsters you'll encounter, it's a mix of beasts from previous entries, like Arzuros, as well as new creatures like a giant bird called Aknosom, an amphibious creature called Tetranadon. The new flagship monster this time around is Magnamalo
