Foreclosed Is a New Graphic Novel-Style Cyberpunk Shooter
We're happy to reveal Foreclosed, a new cyberpunk action-shooter inspired by Deus Ex, Max Payne and Frank Miller's Hardboiled, coming to PC, Nintendo Switch and (as-yet-unspecified) PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Revealed exclusively as part of today's IGN Expo event, Foreclosed is a narrative-driven action-shooter about the beleaguered Evan Kapnos, who's had his identity, brain implants and access to his city's Blockchain foreclosed by the autorities, and is a on a mission to escape before they're auctioned off. Check out the reveal trailer below: [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/06/04/foreclosed-reveal-trailer"] Rendered not just in a graphic novel style, but with both gameplay and interactive cutscenes rendered in the style of comic book panels, it's a fairly unique proposition for the shooter genre. The game includes both gunplay and brain implant-based abilities, as well as an RPG-like skill system that lets you upgrade Evan's firmware as you progress through the story. There's much, much more to see from today's IGN Expo, and we're running the Summer of Gaming throughout June – here's the Summer of Gaming full schedule. All month, we're supporting some incredibly important causes – the World Health Organisation and The Bail Project – if you are able, help us support them too at donate.ign.com.
