To avoid having your settings wiped, Epic has added a "Copy from Legacy" option which will allow players to save their current sensitivities once Legacy Controls are turned off for good. To do this, simply head into the in-game setting menu and navigate to the "Controller Options" tab. Since then, the PC community has been constantly asking Epic to nerf the aim assist controls and level the playing field. With the successful launch of Chapter 2: Season 2, it seems Epic is finally ready to listen. Fortnite to Fix Controversial Legacy Controls
Fortnite Legacy Controls have been a hot-button topic among the competitive battle royale community since the launch of Chapter 2 last year, as some say it offers a distinct advantage to controller players over those using a keyboard and mouse. Epic has decided to step in and starting next week, Legacy Controls, which offer aim assist to controller players, will be removed from the game completely. Epic announced on Twitter and the in-game news feed that it will officially remove its aim assisting Legacy Controls on March 13. Players who are still using Legacy Controls at the cutoff date will have all of their sensitivities reset to the new default settings.
