The Last of Us Part 2 has been delayed from February to May 2020, and while that means a few more months for all of us to wait until we can play Ellie and Joel’s new story, it does raise an interesting question — what does this mean, if anything, for the release of Sony’s other announced major first-party PS4 exclusive, Ghost of Tsushima?
Ghost of Tsushima has never gotten a firm release date, but it has been reconfirmed that it is a PS4 release (PS5 support has never been mentioned). Given the recent release date announcement (and subsequent re-announcement) for The Last of Us Part 2, it seems as if Sony planned to release it first and then follow up with Ghost of Tsushima later on (unless they were going to surprise us all in the next few months). But with The Last of Us now coming out in May and the PS5 set to come in the holiday season, that puts Sucker Punch’s new, mysterious game into an interesting position. Here are a few of our guesses for what could happen:
