Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Co-op Mode Is Out Next Week
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, the free co-op mode for Sucker Punch's latest game, will be out on PlayStation 4 on October 16, 2020. Announced on PlayStation.Blog, the Legends update (v. 1.1) will also bring some improvements to single-player as well, including New Game+ with additional trophies and a Ghost Flower merchant, Armor Loadouts, a play time indicator, new options for Photo Mode and more. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/10/05/ghost-of-tsushima-version-11-update-trailer"] Ghost of Tsushima: Legends was revealed back in August 2020, and it is a new, online cooperative multiplayer experience that features two-player story missions and four-player survival missions, as well as a Raid that will be released "weeks following launch." It is also said to be "haunting and fantastical, with locations and enemies inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology and an emphasis on cooperative combat and action." To access Legends, players will have to visit the PlayStation Store from their PS4 and download the free unlock for the mode, which will allow you to quickly get into the new experience. Once updated, Gyozen the Storyteller will appear in game and he is the "author and gatekeeper of the stories you'll find in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, and when you talk to him, he'll be happy to share one of his transportative stories about the 'Ghosts.'" This will take you to the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends lobby, but you can also get to this lobby from the title menu, pause menu, or from and invite from a friend. The Hunter "can stand on the edge of combat and snipe enemies before they even see you." Explosive arrows will also be available to slow down enemies, and the Eye of Uchitsune ultimate attack will "unleash multiple arrows straight at your enemies' heads."
Ronin players "can revive their entire team with the Breath of Izanami ultimate ability." Also, and perhaps most importantly, they can summon a Spirit Dog, and yes, you can PET THE GOOD PUPPERS.
The Assassin is meant for those who love doing massive damage with a single attack. They can utilize their Shadow Strike ultimate ability that will "allow you to teleport across the battlefield and directly strike your enemies." Lastly, they can wear "terrifying masks" that will surely strike fear into all enemies.
The Ghost Flower merchant will appear in Ariake in New Game+ and will accept the newly added Ghost Flowers. These can be obtained by completing a Tale or activity and already have the reward, giving extra incentive to play through again. Ghost Flowers can be exchanged for Charms, new armor dyes, and other vanity gear only found in New Game+. [poilib element="accentDivider"] Have a tip for us? Want to discuss a possible story?
